Which advertising materials can I order from Flyerline?

Does Flyerline also offer graphic design services?

Yes. Our graphics department is a well-oiled team that boasts sound expertise and conceptual thinking skills that are paired with extensive experience and creative ideas.
Our graphic designers not only design and prepare a wide range of printed materials, but also more complex products including mailings, point-of-sale materials, packaging and more. Please don’t hesitate to contact our graphics department directly.
How should I deliver my print data?

Ideally, we recommend that you send us a print file with a resolution of 300 dpi in CMYK colour mode (colour profile: Euroscale ISO coated, v3) and with a bleed of 3 mm. The data formats that work best are .pdfx1, .pdfx3 and .pdfx4 as well as .tiff and .jpg for picture files. For detailed information, please refer to our “Data Delivery Tips”. You’ll find both this document and the corresponding product data sheet in our Download Centre as well as with the product in question.
Can I also order products not included in the standard product range?

Yes. Flyerline Schweiz AG is capable of providing you with nearly any conceivable printed product. We have one of the most extensive, state-of-the-art pools of printing and processing equipment in Switzerland. Which legal requirements apply with respect to election campaigns and voting?

While Switzerland has no generally applicable law governing election and voting campaigns, there are some rules in place for political advertising.
How long before the election can I conduct election-related advertising?

The guideline is 6 to 8 weeks prior to the elections. The specific rules and regulations of the cantons or even municipalities in question must always be observed, however.
When do I have to take down election-related advertising following an election?

Campaign posters and other election-related advertising must be removed within one week of the election in question. After this period, advertising will be taken down by the competent authority at the expense of the person(s) concerned.
Which media channels may I use to run adverts targeting my constituency?

When parties engage in campaign advertising, they’re prohibited from advertising on radio and television. While advertising is permitted in all other media, newspapers may refuse to publish advertisements by political parties (according to the Swiss Press Council, the authority where media-related complaints are reported).

How am I allowed to conduct a campaign in public?

Before campaigning in public spaces (information stand, rally, collection of signatures, etc.), it’s important to contact the municipality first to find out which rules apply. You might need a permit.
Am I allowed to hang posters up in public spaces?

Yes and no. When hanging up political posters in outdoor and indoor locations, there are a few rules that need to be followed.
No political advertising is allowed on motorways or roads with higher speed limits. Advertising is permitted on all other roads (on streetlamps along a rural road, for example) as long as the ads do not threaten the safety of road users.
While there are no general restrictions governing specific times when canvassing is allowed during an election, the municipalities usually have rules that apply and these rules must be adhered to strictly.
Is political advertising permissible at establishments in the restaurant industry?

In principle, yes. It’s up to the owner of the restaurant, café or bar in question to decide whether printed products like flyers are permitted on the premises.
