Frequently asked questions
-
Can I also order products that are not included in the standard product range?Yes. Flyerline Schweiz AG is capable of providing you with nearly any conceivable printed product. We have one of the most extensive, state-of-the-art pools of printing and processing equipment in Switzerland. If you don’t see the product you want in our standard range, please use the contact form to send us your request. Our Sales team will be happy to prepare an attractive, customised quote.
-
How quickly can Flyerline deliver?Delivery times vary depending on the specific product and print run. We always make every effort to produce and deliver your printed matter as quickly as possible. We generally need 2-5 working days, depending on the product. When you place your order, we offer a “Rush” option for most products that generally ensures you expedited production and a turnaround time of one working day. The actual time required for production and the expected shipping date can always be found in our shop, right by the configured print product.
-
How should I deliver my print data?Ideally, we recommend that you send us a print file with a resolution of 300 dpi in CMYK colour mode (colour profile: PSO Coated, V3) and a bleed of 3 mm. The data formats that work best are .pdfx1, .pdfx3 and .pdfx4 as well as .tiff and .jpg for picture files. For detailed information, please refer to our “Data Delivery Tips”. You will find this document and the corresponding product data sheet both in our Download Centre and by the product in question.
-
What does 4/0 or 4/4 mean?4/0 colour means: printed in four colours on one side (full colour)
4/4 colour means: printed in four colours on both sides (full colour) -
Can I also send Office files to Flyerline?Yes. But since Office files cannot be processed for professional printing, we first have to convert them into printable files. We charge a conversion fee of CHF 25 per file and page.
-
What is CMYK?Cyan, magenta and yellow are the primary colours used for subtractive colour mixing. Black (K) is added because the primary colours are unable to produce a pure black. CMYK is the colour space required for printing. All masters are converted into CMYK files if they are not delivered in CMYK format.
-
My file is in RGB mode. Will that work too?Yes. We convert the data into CMYK. This could result in slight variations in colour, especially in the case of extremely bright colours, since we do not know what colour was originally used and RGB documents look different on every screen. If you provide us with print data in RGB mode, we recommend selecting the “Proof” option.
-
What is bleed? The bleed is the area of the print data that extends beyond the normal edge. Bleeds are necessary because printing machines work within a certain tolerance range and the paper can shift slightly during printing. Please create print files that have a 3 mm bleed on each edge.
-
For which areas are hollow chamber posters mostly used?Hollow chamber posters can be used in many different ways. They are particularly suitable for election advertising, car park advertising, trade fairs, POS advertising, street posters and general outdoor advertising. Due to their high print quality and strength, the posters are wind and weather resistant and can withstand any weather.
-
How are the hollow chamber posters printed? Here the question is "offset printing or digital printing?" The posters are always printed using the digital printing process, both on one side (4/0) and on both sides (4/4). This is also important for your data check. For example, Pantone colours cannot be printed in digital printing.
-
Are the hollow-chamber posters pre-cut for assembly?Yes, the posters are provided with a special perforation that is both tear-resistant and helps to mount the posters in no time at all.

All-weather Posters® with multiple variants in a single print run and split dispatch
We’ve made ordering posters even more efficient and cost-effective for you. Because you can now use our “Multiple variants in a single print run” option to order All-weather Posters® with up to 25 different variants (artwork) – all in a single order! This flexibility lets you tailor your advertising to multiple target groups and campaigns. Simply enter the desired print run and split up the total quantity between the different variants.
Example: If you order 100 posters with three different variants, you can specify how many copies should be printed of each individual variant. For example, you could choose 30 copies of variant A, 50 copies of variant B and 20 copies of variant C.
Here’s how it works:
- Choose your desired format
- Enter the size of the print run
- Specify the number of variants
Combine this with the “Split Dispatch” option for even more flexibility
Our webshop not only offers multiple variants in a single print run, but you can also make use of the practical split dispatch option. With it, you can order different poster variants for a variety of purposes and individually define the address where each poster should be sent. That means you can specify different delivery addresses and quantities for each poster. We assemble the packages and make sure that your All-weather Posters® reach their respective recipients both on time and in full. Find out more about split dispatch here.
Example: You’d like to deliver the 30 copies of variant A to different addresses, for example 10 copies of variant A to address A, 10 copies to address B and another 10 copies to address C. Of course, you can also do the same for the other variants.
Here’s how it works:
- Configure your poster order (print run, variants, material, etc.).
- Scroll down to “Production & shipping options” and activate “Split dispatch”.
- Define the number of recipients and enter the desired delivery addresses.
- Review the split dispatch in the basket and proceed to checkout.
Greater sustainability in your advertising campaign
If sustainability is one of the priorities of your advertising campaign, we recommend ordering the recycled material. Please look under “Material” for further information.
Format
All-weather Posters are available in the following formats: DIN A1 (594 x 840 mm), DIN A0 (840 x 1188 mm), B1 (700 x 1000 mm), F4 (895 x 1280 mm) and circus format (600 x 1400 mm). If you require different formats, please contact our customer centre. We will be happy to provide you with a customised quote.
Number of pages
The posters can be ordered in our online shop with printing on one side. The only exception is DIN A1 format, since double-sided printing makes sense for this format if our patented frame systems are used.
If you would like double-sided printing in DIN A0 or B1 formats and are using the new material with a white front and back, please contact our Customer Centre.
Only single-sided printing is offered for the recycled material since the back of it has a grey surface that is not suitable for printing.
Colours
Flyerline prints using the CMYK 4-colour model for printing (also referred to as Euroscale). Any spot or RGB colours contained in the files will be converted to CMYK.
Material – corrugated plastic boards made of recycled or virgin material
All-Weather Posters® are made of 3 mm thick corrugated plastic boards with a grammage of 600 g/m2. You have the choice between recycled and new material:
Recycled material – 600 g/m2 recycled corrugated plastic board, white/grey
The corrugated plastic boards feature a high content of recycled material reclaimed from corrugated plastic posters and other PP plastics. The front is white for printing; the back is grey due to the high content of recycled material, making it unsuitable for printing. The edges are also white/grey.
Virgin material – 600 g/m2 corrugated plastic board, white/white
These corrugated plastic boards are made of virgin (new) plastic. Both the front and back are white.
Punched holes make mounting easy
All-weather Posters come equipped with 6 to 10 punched holes to ensure that they can easily be individually installed on streetlights, fences, gates, masts, etc.
All-weather Posters in DIN A1 format come with pre-punched holes for assembly, making it easy to insert them in Flyerline’s specially developed, patented frame systems.
The hollow chamber posters can be ideally attached with zip ties. You can order these zip ties in our shop.
Print runs
All-weather Posters can be ordered in print runs of any size, from just one copy up to large-scale runs.
